These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our automotive repair and maintenance services, website, and any related services provided by C & D Auto Service Center ("we," "our," or "us"). By using our services or accessing our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Acceptance of Terms
By scheduling an appointment, bringing your vehicle to our facility, or using our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services.
Services Provided
We provide automotive repair, maintenance, and related services including but not limited to:
• Engine repair and maintenance
• Transmission service
• Brake repair and replacement
• Electrical system diagnosis and repair
• Air conditioning and heating service
• Oil changes and fluid services
• Tire repair and replacement
• Diagnostic services
• Preventative maintenance
Service Estimates and Authorizations
Before performing any repairs, we will provide you with a written estimate of the costs involved. All estimates are valid for 30 days from the date issued. Additional repairs discovered during the service may require additional authorization and may affect the final cost.
• Estimates are based on the information available at the time of inspection
• Final costs may vary based on actual parts needed and labor required
• We will contact you for authorization before proceeding with any repairs exceeding the original estimate by more than 10%
• Rush or emergency services may incur additional charges
Payment Terms
Payment is due upon completion of services unless other arrangements have been made in writing.
• We accept cash, credit cards, and approved financing
• A deposit may be required for large repair jobs or parts orders
• Late payment fees may apply to overdue accounts
• We reserve the right to retain possession of your vehicle until payment is received
• All prices are subject to change without notice
Warranties
Parts Warranty
• New parts are covered by the manufacturer's warranty
• We provide a 12-month/12,000-mile warranty on parts we install (whichever comes first)
• Warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship
• Warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, abuse, or improper use
Labor Warranty
• We provide a 12-month/12,000-mile warranty on labor (whichever comes first)
• Warranty covers defects in our workmanship
• Warranty does not cover issues caused by customer modifications or use of incorrect parts
Limitations
• Warranties do not cover consumable items (filters, belts, etc.)
• Warranties are void if vehicle is used for racing or other abusive purposes
• Warranties do not cover damage from accidents or collisions
• All warranties are limited to the original customer and are not transferable
Vehicle Storage and Security
• We take reasonable measures to secure your vehicle while in our possession
• We are not responsible for theft, vandalism, or damage to vehicles left overnight without prior arrangement
• Additional storage fees may apply for vehicles not picked up within 30 days
• We recommend removing valuable items from your vehicle before leaving it with us
Customer Responsibilities
You agree to:
• Provide accurate vehicle information and service history
• Pay for all services rendered in a timely manner
• Pick up your vehicle within 30 days of completion
• Notify us immediately of any concerns about the work performed
• Maintain current insurance on your vehicle
Liability Limitations
While we take every precaution to provide safe and reliable service, our liability is limited as follows:
• We are not responsible for pre-existing conditions not disclosed at time of service
• We are not liable for consequential damages or loss of use
• Our maximum liability is limited to the amount paid for services
• We are not responsible for vehicles damaged by fire, theft, or natural disasters while in our possession
• You are responsible for maintaining adequate insurance coverage on your vehicle
Dispute Resolution
• Any disputes should be brought to our attention immediately
• We strive to resolve all customer concerns to your satisfaction
• If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes may be subject to binding arbitration
• All claims must be filed within 6 months of service completion
Cancellation Policy
• Appointments may be cancelled with 24 hours notice without charge
• Same-day cancellations may incur a cancellation fee
• Emergency situations are handled on a case-by-case basis
Privacy and Data Protection
Your privacy is important to us. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for information about how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Maryland, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
